Effect of Combining Adapted Physical and Artistic Activities on Feeling of Loneliness and Aggression in the Elderly Living in Nursing Homes

Objectives Feeling of loneliness and aggression are common problems in the elderly living nursing homes that can have serious psychological physical consequences for them. Due to growing number population, it is essential use practical strategies reducing their isolation aggression. This study aims assess effect combining adapted artistic activities on feeling homes. Methods & Materials In this quasi-experimental study, 68 older residents a home Shiraz, Iran with without acute participated, who were selected using convenience sampling method then assigned into two groups control intervention by block randomization method. The group received routine care, while participated 16 sessions activities. Data collected UCLA Loneliness Scale Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire before immediately after intervention. analyzed descriptive (Mean±SD, frequency) inferential statistics (Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U Wilcoxon test) SPSS software, version 22.
